Mr. Baroody, 61, is Omni’s Senior Vice
President of Operations. He holds an MS degree in civil engineering
from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a BCE degree in
the same from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Mr. Baroody
has over 36 years of executive, managerial and consulting experience
in the fertilizer, mining and chemical industries.
For 17 years, he worked for the large natural resources company
AMAX Inc., where he last headed up business development, strategic
planning and certain marketing activities for its subsidiary
in the fertilizer industry. Prior to that he was involved in
various operational, marketing and project related activities
with AMAX’s iron ore business in Western Australia, and
a major new development project in West Africa. He headed up
business development and project activities for Mulberry Corporation
for four years, during which time he also served as general
manager of its phosphate rock mining activities.
For most of the period from 1988 to date, Mr. Baroody was principal
and owner of TEBCO Associates, a consulting firm that provides
diversified professional consulting services to the fertilizer,
energy, mining/minerals, and inorganic chemical industries.
These services included specialized marketing, technical, environmental
and business studies, site location analysis, asset and due
diligence evaluations, feasibility studies, financial analysis,
project management, executive management and representation/brokering.
During this period, he was also co-owner and president of K-Technologies,
Inc., a technology development company serving the chemical
industry.
Since 2003, Mr. Baroody has worked with Omni and its predecessor
company in developing all aspects of the current ammonia/UAN
project in Trinidad.
