Ms. Engnath, 42, is Omni’s General Counsel.
She obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Tulane Law School,
cum laude, in 1989.
She obtained admission to the Louisiana Bar in 1989 and to the
California Bar in 1990. Immediately after graduating from law
school, she clerked for the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of
Appeals. She has practiced law in Louisiana for two years and
in California for 13 years.
Ms. Engnath has extensive experience litigating a diverse variety
of disputes, including contract disputes, construction matters,
partnership and business disputes and dissolutions, intellectual
property disputes, trade secret and unfair competition matters,
and secured creditors rights.
Ms. Engnath's transactional experience includes business entity
formations and corporate transactions, purchase/sale agreements,
the obtaining and perfecting of security interest, employer/employee
agreements, and a wide variety of other business and contractual
matters.
Ms. Engnath has represented a major bank in various transactions
and loan workouts and numerous corporate and individual clients
in complex litigation and transactions. Before joining Omni
was a partner in the law firm of Ryan & Engnath where she
gained much experience in business management. At Omni, Ms.
Engnath has played a significant role in structuring Omni’s
current Trinidad project and has been responsible for overseeing
legal matters, as well as the drafting of relevant documentation.
She has taught deposition, trial, and writing techniques in
a number of forums, including for the National Institute of
Trial Advocacy. Ms. Engnath obtained her undergraduate degree,
a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, from Newcomb College
(at Tulane University), magna cum laude, 1985, where she also
received a membership in Phi Beta Kappa.
